The environment is extremely important to us at Decocrete. We are constantly looking for solutions that are green and environmentally-friendly.

What Makes Polished Concrete Green?

Concrete is composed of pure natural materials. The coatings that are often applied to the concrete have an adverse effect on the environment.  With energy costs surging, the green market is ripe!  As rigorous standards of sustainability continue to rise and the construction industry's quest for environmental-responsibility continues, finding affordable, sustainable building products will become a necessity for new construction, additions, renovations and remodels. Natural, durable and beautiful polished concrete flooring is sure to become a widely-used application, and though it may be wrapped in a gray package, polished concrete flooring is an intrinsically green solution!

  • HTC Superfloor™ uses as much as 30 times less energy than traditional flooring solutions.
  • The Twister™ floor maintenance system is also the only completely eco-friendly cleaning method. Twister™ uses nothing but ordinary water, no chemicals!

Concrete Sinks and Countertops

Decocrete sinks and countertops are eco-friendly because they user up to 1/3 less cement material is used in the making of GFRC and the glass fibers are often made of recycled glass products. The added strength provided by the glass fibers requires less concrete be poured thereby using less material.  This will surely satisfy those interested in using “green” materials in construction.

Decocrete's Committment

At Decocrete we are constantly searching and testing new green, environmentally-friendly concrete products and bring the knowledge we can from our reserach to our customers. Please ask us for green flooring alternatives.
