Concrete Sinks & Countertops
If you’re building or remodeling, know that a great, custom countertop or sink can define your kitchen or bath.
Our hand-finished Concrete Countertops and sinks are the finest you can have in your home or business. Marble, and granite simply don’t compare, and even other cast concrete will not give you the range of color or structural reliability that we offer.
Not all concrete is equal. Our concrete countertops and sinks are hand crafted using GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). GFRC is made from a proprietary blend of ingredients that offers strength, durability and design options not available from other concrete blends.
Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) is a cement composite that has been embedded with glass fibers resulting in a stronger and lighter weight concrete. It is a very durable and versatile product that offers many advantages over standard wet cast cement.
In a nutshell, GFRC is a super strong concrete that has been infused with a glass fiber composite that makes the end product stronger, and gives it more flexural strength. It reinforces the concrete while dramatically increasing its load-bearing capacity over a typical concrete mix.
Benefits
This technology is being used by only a handful of innovative companies one being, Decocrete. We understand the potential of this technology and are on the fore front of precast GFRC technology.
- GFRC uses less material-the glass fibers provide the strength in the concrete which means no steel rebar and less cement mixture is needed for large projects.
- Weight-countertops and sinks made of GFRC can weigh as little as half as much as a traditionally cast countertop. This makes it easier to move, easier to install and may eliminate the need for a substructure.
- Production time-a GFRC project offers a quicker turnaround time than a normal wet cast project. It can actually be templated, cast and installed within 72 hours if necessary. Precast GFRC is also available making the production time even less.
- Finishes-many finishes can be applied to a countertop constructed of glass fiber reinforced concrete. This includes polishing, staining, sand blasting, special coloring and marbling.
- Eco-friendly-up to 1/3 less cement material is used in the making of GFRC and the glass fibers are often made of recycled glass products. The added strength provided by the glass fibers requires less concrete be poured thereby using less material. This will surely satisfy those interested in using “green” materials in construction.
- Versatility-GFRC can be cast and molded into any shape or design that includes moldings, fireplace surrounds, stairways and custom edges on countertops.
- Safe - Unlike Granite Countertops which have been proven to emit Radon, concrete countertops and sinks do not emit any harmful chemicals

Tests show some may emit levels of radon gas that could cause concern. Radon could cause lung cancer over the long haul.
